LONDON, July 28. /TASS/. Saudi Arabia’s national oil company Saudi Aramco has suspended operations at its refinery in the western city of Jizan following an attack by Yemeni Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah movement, Reuters reported, citing a statement from the consulting firm IIR.

Operations were suspended on July 27 at the refinery, which processes 400,000 barrels of oil per day, according to the report. The strike damaged the integrated gasification combined-cycle unit and the oil storage area. The refinery is expected to resume operations by August 15.

On July 25, the rebels announced an attack on Saudi Aramco’s oil and gas facilities in the port cities of Jizan and Yanbu using missiles and drones.
