An estimated 254,100 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer and 87,900 will die from the disease in 2026, according to new modelling published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal. Lung cancer remains the deadliest form overall, with concerning projected increases in several other types, including cervical cancer.
