Jaden Smith has a new job. The multihyphenate has been named the first creative director for Christian Louboutin Men’s. Announced by the designer brand on Wednesday (Sept. 17), the appointment marks a significant milestone in the evolution of its men’s universe.

As described, the 27-year-old will oversee the creation of four collections annually across men’s shoes, leather goods, and accessories. The memo continued to detail the job as shaping a distinctive visual and emotional universe that extends beyond product design to encompass campaigns, events, and immersive experiences.

His debut collection will be revealed during Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 Paris Fashion Week in January.

“Merging my vision with Christian’s comes quite naturally because we see the world in a very similar way. There’s a shared respect for creative freedom, and I think that’s why it works. I want to continue the story, honoring the past while shaping the future through my own perspective. It isn’t just a title — it’s a creative home,” expressed the actor in a statement shared on Instagram.

“Christian has given me a place to explore, to learn, and to create freely. His legacy is built on hard work and joy, and I want to carry that forward.”

The founder of the famed red-bottom footwear shared similar excitement with WWD.

“Dressing for him is an adventure,” he shared with the fashion outlet of Smith. “It’s a form of communication. It’s thoughtful, but it’s playful. There are very few people that I find as surprising, the way he puts things together.”

“He arrived before the idea of ​​a creative director,” Louboutin continued to explain. “It’s not because I needed the creative director, it’s because of him, in fact. And so it happened like that,” adding, “The day I said to myself, ‘He’d be a great person to work with’ was the day I realized I had been studying him without realizing it. I saw him interacting with people…. He’s very well-mannered, super respectful, and curious. And those, for me, are values or qualities that are important.”
