King Charles has been given unexpected good news after his meeting with his youngest son Prince Harry earlier this month.
While King Charles and Prince Harry are well and truly on the mend following the highly-publicised familial fall-out sparked by the Duke of Sussex leaving the royal family in 2020, there is even more good news for His Majesty.
According to a recent survey conducted by YouGov, after nearly four years on the throne, 68% of Britons believe King Charles III is doing a good job as monarch, the highest recorded by their tracker to date, relative to just 16% feeling he is doing a bad job.

The figures show that more than six in ten Britons (62%) have a positive opinion of Charles, double the 31% who see him unfavourably. This is in line with recent waves of their data, with consistently 59-63% of Britons having held a favourable view of the King over the last two years.
As Charles nears the completion of his fourth year on the throne, the latest figures from YouGov’s royal family trackers reveal that opinion towards the monarchy and senior royals remains stable and largely positive.
The same goes for Prince Harry, whose popularity has been increasing among the British population since last year. YouGov's poll tracker saw his popularity increase by six points, although most Brits still have a negative opinion of him.
33% of respondents now have a positive opinion of Harry, compared to 27% from last year, and negative opinions on the Duke have come down from 62% to 58%. Meghan Markle has also seen a small increase in popularity, rising three percentage points to 22% of the British population having a favourable opinion of her.
Harry and Charles getting back on trackEarlier this month, during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's visit to the UK with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the family had a private meeting with King Charles.
Harry and his family met with the King while in the UK earlier this monthHarry travelled to his father's Gloucestershire residence, Highgrove House, where he was hosted by the monarch and Queen Camilla. For the occasion, Harry was joined by his wife, Meghan Markle, and the pair's two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. It's the first time Archie, 7, and Lili, 5, have seen their grandfather since the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.
Harry and Charles last enjoyed one another's company in September 2025, when Prince Harry was seen arriving by car at King Charles' London residence, Clarence House.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the King had a private tea with the Duke at Clarence House. The meeting was short but sweet, with Prince Harry departing Clarence House roughly an hour after his arrival.
