Meghan McCain furiously hit back at body-shamers as she swore that she would never take Ozempic to lose weight after giving birth to her third child in early January.

The Citizen McCain podcast host, 41, shared her reasoning in an X (formerly Twitter) post on Monday that has already reached over 300,000 views.

'Keep the fat comments coming because I'm sorry to disappoint so many of you, I will not be going on any of the Ozempic shots despite just having my third child,' McCain wrote in her message.

'No judgment to those that do, but I just don't believe in the concept of a magic shot - everything has a price. I also don't want my face to change,' she shared.

Over the past few years, GLP-1 medications, which have historically been used to treat type 2 diabetes, have become extremely popularized as a weight-loss aid after they were approved as such by the FDA.

The former The View cohost received hundreds of encouraging messages in response, as many praised her for her stance.

'Wise choice. I think a little bit of weight as one grows older is okay. Too thin is dangerous especially if one falls ill. Frailty is no bueno,' one X user wrote.

Another agreed, 'People need to mind their own business and keep their opinions to themselves!'

The Citizen McCain podcast host, 41, shared her reasoning in an X (formerly Twitter) post that reached over 300,000 views this week

McCain's message came just weeks after she announced the birth of her third child, son Ransom, on January 2.

She shared the happy news in an Instagram post, giving followers an intimate glimpse in the moments after she gave birth, as her husband, editor Ben Domenech, was by her side holding the baby.

Another photo showed adorable Ransom swaddled in a blanket and hat as he dozed off peacefully.

'We are all blissed out over the moon. Everyone is happy, healthy and exhausted,' McCain's caption read, in part.

The couple already share two daughters, Liberty Sage, four, and Clover Jade, two.

Just a month before she gave birth, McCain had to defend herself against body-shamers once again after Milo Yiannopoulos called her 'the fat friend' while appearing on an episode of Tucker Carlson's podcast.

During his December 3 episode, Carlson hosted the far-right commentator in a bizarre episode titled, 'Why Are You Gay? Milo Yiannopoulos Explains.'

About an hour into the episode, Yiannopoulos questioned if there was 'anything gayer than John McCain's bloodlust' as they both spoke about 'closeted gays' in right-wing media.

Yiannopoulos said that Meghan was 'the fat friend,' also labeling her as 'fat' and 'crazy,' while Carlson listened on.

The former The View host responded to the clip on X, slamming the comments.

'I am aware on the most recent episode of Tucker Carlson's show a subject of conversation with his guest was my weight - particularly how fat I am,' McCain began.

'Yes, I am very fat, I'm almost nine months pregnant with my third child. I am also very happy. I don't care how many times Tucker talks about being a Christian, that is not Christian behavior to engage in such a conversation on one of the largest podcasts in the world,' her post continued.

'This kind of meanness to women and hypocrisy is a classic example of why the right has such a problem with women voters of my generation,' McCain continued.

'Don't feel bad for me, people have been calling me fat since I started in media at age 22. It is old, lazy, tired. I don't make my living off of ugliness like that and truly can't fathom what life is like for anyone who does. It must be very dark,' she concluded.

In the past, McCain has opened up about her weight and body-shaming, including the pressures in social circles to take Ozempic.

'I can't tell you how often people bring it up to me,' McCain said during a May 2024 episode of her Citizen McCain podcast.

'How often people message it to me... I do not want to go on a medication that, A, I don't feel like I need, and I don't because I'm healthy. I've had a physical in January this year,' she explained.

'And, B, like, I just don't want to put a test drug in my body to fit someone else's standards, and I can't believe the amount of pressure I still feel,' McCain shared.

In 2023, McCain also expressed a similar sentiment in a column written for Daily Mail.

She wrote the piece just four weeks after she had given birth to her second daughter, claiming that people were already urging her to take the drug.

McCain wrote at the time: 'Now, I understand some people legitimately struggle with obesity and need Ozempic. But I am not one of those people.

'Which is why I have been really astonished by how many, from casual friends to industry acquaintances, have brought it up with me.

'I'm told "everyone is doing it," as if that was ever a compelling case. I hear "just take the shot," as it has become known in shorthand. I was even offered a black-market freebie by someone with "extra shots at home." Well, let me make one thing very clear. I'm not taking it. I refuse.'
