The Masters wrapped on Sunday, with Irish golfer Rory McIlroy winning the prestigious event for the second consecutive year. After McIlroy’s victory, Kai Trump, the 18-year-old-grandaughter of United States President Donald Trump, took to social media to celebrate.
Kai, who golfs for the University of Miami and has golfed with McIlroy before, went to Instagram after he became the fourth person in Masters history to win back-to-back championships.
“Let’s go!! Huge congrats,” Kai wrote to McIlroy on her Instagram story, per The Spun.
Kai wasn’t the only notable person to congratulate the Irishman publicly. Amanda Balionis, a sideline reporter for CBS Sports, also posted her congratulations for McIlroy on Instagram.
“What a week. Pretty surreal to watch @rorymcilroy battle for 17 years for that first green jacket (and complete the career grand slam) then just 12 months later do it all over again. I‘ll remember this electric moving day for a long time and the storylines we had the privilege of broadcasting from start to finish. A massive thank you to our ENTIRE crew for the tireless hours, endless passion and for simply being the best in the business. This is a true team effort on the biggest stage and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this team. Until next year Augusta 💚,” she wrote.
What do you think? Can McIlroy pull off a third straight victory next year?
