Kate Walsh proved to be ready for surgery once again and teased her return to season 18 of Grey's Anatomy.

The 54-year-old actress threw on her white lab coat to play Dr. Addison Montgomery if only for a moment as she strolled down a hallway in a short video shared on Twitter Wednesday morning.

Walsh previously confirmed she would be returning to the medical drama nearly eight years after the end of her spin-off show, Private Practice, aired its final episode in 2013.

Walsh rocked a beige collared dress with ribbed detailing and a high slit as she sauntered down a hallway.

Her light auburn hair was freshly blown out and worn parted to the side, and she kept her makeup to a minimum. 

Most notably, though, was her white doctor's coat and bright pink stethoscope wrapped around her neck.  

'Clear the halls! Dr. Addison Montgomery is stopping by Grey Sloan Thursday, May 5,' the official Grey's Anatomy Twitter account shared.

Walsh first appeared on the series during the season one finale episode in 2005 when she was revealed to be the wife of Meredith Grey's love interest Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey).

She became a series regular in the seventh episode of season two through season three, where she supervised the surgical team at Grey Sloan.

Starting in 2007, her character was lured away to Los Angeles, the setting of her spin-off series Private Practice. 

Although the first two seasons of Private Practice featured significant Grey's Anatomy crossover episodes and guest appearances, the connections between the shows dried up in later seasons. 

When Walsh was confirmed to return for season 18 in September, she wrote on Instagram that she was 'so excited to be home again' with Shonda Rhimes, Ellen Pompeo and 'the rest of the incredible cast.' 

During a panel in October, Walsh told PEOPLE and other reporters that the Grey's reunion was 'intense' and 'very emotional.' 

'All the feels,' she said. 'It was really beautiful. We reunited at the COVID test tent, and hugged each other with our masks on, and then went to go act with our masks on.'

She added: 'It was just very emotional. Like going back to your hometown and your family and your first best job ever all at once. It was a lot, it was great.'
