Independent study reveals nearly 1 in 3 U.S. adults with high blood pressure may need medication

Nearly 23 million Americans with blood pressure of 130/80 mm Hg or higher may be eligible for blood-pressure-lowering medications based on the 2025 American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology guideline, according to new, independent research published in the Journal of the American Heart Association.
