One of the newest members of the Los Angeles Dodgers will make his debut tonight.

The Dodgers acquired Tarik Skubal, the two-time American League Cy Young winner, in a blockbuster trade with the Detroit Tigers a few days before the 2026 trade deadline.

Skubal will make his first start as a Dodger on the mound at Wrigley Field as Los Angeles tries to bounce back from a 10-5 loss to the Cubs last night.

A pending free agent, Skubal comes to the two-time defending World Series champions as the Dodgers continue to bolster their roster in hopes of a threepeat.

He joins a pitching rotation that also includes Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Emmet Sheehan, Roki Sasaki, Justin Wrobleski and Shohei Ohtani, as well as an injured Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow and Gavin Stone.

Today’s (Aug. 4) Dodgers vs. Cubs game is scheduled to begin at 8:05 p.m. ET.
