DJI has officially introduced its new Lito drone lineup, following a series of recent leaks. Comprising two models—the Lito 1 and the Lito X1—this series is positioned as an accessible entry point for first-time pilots, offering advanced features typically reserved for high-end devices at a more competitive price point.

Both models prioritize ease of use and safety. They are equipped with omnidirectional obstacle detection capable of functioning in low-light conditions (minimum 5 lux) and a front-facing LiDAR sensor to prevent collisions. For automated filming, both drones include:

  • ActiveTrack: Tracks moving subjects at speeds up to 12 m/s.

  • QuickShot & MasterShot: Provides predefined framing and automated clip creation.

  • Hyperlapse & Panorama: Standard creative modes for diverse photography.

The drones offer a standard flight time of 36 minutes, which can be extended to 52 minutes with the Battery Plus. They remain stable in winds reaching up to 10.7 m/s (38 km/h).

DJI Lito X1

While both drones utilize 48 MP CMOS sensors, their internal specifications differ significantly to suit different user needs:

  • DJI Lito 1: Features a 1/2-inch sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It supports 4K video recording and can capture 8K still photographs.

  • DJI Lito X1: Aimed at more advanced creators, it boasts a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor with an f/1.7 aperture. It supports 10-bit D-Log M recording and HDR video with 14 stops of dynamic range. Furthermore, it includes 42 GB of internal storage and high-speed file transfers via Wi-Fi 6 or QuickTransfer (50 MB/s).

Pricing and Market Availability

The Lito series is currently available through DJI’s official channels in Europe. The Lito 1 starts at €339 (~$396), while the more robust Lito X1 begins at €579 (~$678). Although international shipping is active in these regions, DJI has not yet confirmed a specific release date or local pricing for the US market (thanks to a ban on the DJI products, the Lito Series won’t be arriving any time soon)
