Following U.S. President Donald Trump’s signing of the executive order titled, “Promoting Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Security,” Cisco Chair and CEO Chuck Robbins released the following statement:

The Trump Administration’s executive order is a meaningful step forward that strengthens national security while giving the private sector the runway to responsibly innovate and sustain America’s global AI leadership. By prioritizing the rapid development and deployment of security patches and offering a voluntary, structured path for trusted defenders to get to pre-release access to advanced cyber model previews, the U.S. can also now move at the speed of the threat.
