MOSCOW, August 6. /TASS/. Chisinau’s actions aimed at moving away from the republic’s neutral status are the main source of threats to its people, said Alexey Fadeyev, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"In Moldova, the authorities continue to follow the anti-Russian courses imposed by the West. They clumsily cling to the theme of the non-existent ‘Russian threat’. To divert the people’s attention from their own anti-people initiatives and social problems, they are using the so-called drone hysteria - even in neighboring countries," he told a news briefing.

"Last week, Moldovan President Maia Sandu condemned the violation of Romania’s and Poland’s airspace by drones and missiles of allegedly Russian origin and stated that as long as Moscow’s aggression continues, no one in Europe is completely safe. In fact, it is the actions of the official Chisinau aimed at distancing the republic from its neutral status that undermine the country’s security and serve as the main source of threats to its own people."
