YEREVAN, August 6. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Armenia and Russia fell by 20.9% between January and June 2026 compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia analyzed by TASS.

Trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $2.6 bln in the reporting period, down from $3.3 bln in January-June 2025, according to statistics. That said, Russia’s share in the overall trade structure also declined from 34.7% in the first half of last year to 27.5% in the same period of this year.

Against this backdrop, the share of trade with the EAEU also declined: from 36.3% during the specified period in 2025 to 29.4% in 2026. At the same time, Armenia’s trade with individual EAEU countries increased: by 18.8% with Belarus, 16.3% with Kazakhstan, and 220.6% with Kyrgyzstan.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said earlier that trade turnover between Russia and Armenia has been shrinking dramatically, with the figure having lost two-thirds in 2026 compared to the previous year, adding that it will continue to decline.
