Duke Arts Presents has announced its 2026–27 season, with the theme of “Our Common Home.” The season features artists with programs that span disciplines, engaging with themes of democracy and national identity, climate resilience and environmental change, migration, cultural inheritance, and the human search for connection.
Highlights include performances by Mo Amer, Sutton Foster, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christian McBride with Ursa Major, and new dance works by Matthew Rushing and Hope Boykin. Internationally acclaimed classical ensembles VOCES8 and Tenebrae, along with pianist Jeremy Denk, join the eight-concert Chamber Arts Series.
A series by Tift Merritt celebrates women singer-songwriters. Several major projects are supported or commissioned by Duke Arts, including new works by Rushing, Boykin, Ogemdi Ude, and Gabriel Kahane.
The season also contributes to We the People, a Duke and Durham initiative marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with programs exploring American identity.
Spring events turn toward ecological themes with Sam Green’s TREES, National Geographic Live with Lucy Hawkes, and an interactive public artwork titled Our Common Home.
Pick-4 series are available for purchase now, with single tickets available beginning June 23.
