LAHORE: The local cotton market on Friday remained firm and the trading volume remained low.
Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that the rate of cotton in Sindh is in between Rs 18,000 to Rs 18,200 per maund, while Phutti in the province is trading between Rs 8,000 to Rs 8,800 per 40 kilograms.
In Punjab, cotton rates stand between Rs 18,500 to Rs 18,800 per maund, with Phutti fetching between Rs 8,300 to Rs 8,700 per 40 kilograms.
The rate of cotton in Balochistan is in between Rs 18,000 to Rs 18,300 per maund. The rate of Phutti is in between Rs 8,600 to Rs 9,500 per 40 kg.
The Spot Rate remained unchanged at Rs 18, 200 per maund.
