QD-OLED or WOLED panels, flat or curved, RGB-stripe pixels or not, glossy or matte, plus new features such as 'BlackShield', DisplayPort 2.1 and Thunderbolt 4.

In the competition against Dell, LG, MSI, Samsung and others, Asus now offers by far the largest OLED monitor lineup. It is also the most confusing, with a confusing naming scheme that makes it difficult to get an overview, so FlatpanelsHD has compiled the table below.

So far this year, Asus has announced no fewer than 15 new OLED monitors ranging from 25 to 34 inches. Some replace older models, while others expand the portfolio.

Most are now availableThe monitors are now starting to reach retailers around the world. Click a model name in the table to see retailers for monitors that are already available. The remaining models will launch gradually throughout the year.

QD-OLED or WOLEDThe lineup includes six WOLED monitors – all based on Tandem WOLED – and nine QD-OLED models, although only some feature the latest Penta Tandem QD-OLED panels. The XG series is designed for gamers while the PG series targets enthusiast gamers. The ProArt (PA) series is aimed at creative professionals, making it somewhat surprising that these models do not feature RGB-stripe pixels, which improve text and graphics rendering. For now, RGB-stripe is reserved for gaming monitors. Asus RGB-stripe OLED The 27-inch PG27UCWM and 34-inch PG34WCDN are Asus' first OLED monitors with RGB-stripe pixels. Asus highlighted 'BlackShield' on its Penta Tandem QD-OLED monitors. Developed by Samsung Display, it is a new screen coating designed to prevent blacks from raising into dark gray in bright rooms, as was the case with earlier QD-OLED panels. Several new Tandem WOLED models feature 'TrueBlack Glossy', a glossy film that preserves punch, sparkle and vibrancy in the picture better than matte finishes. There are two curved monitors, both in a 21:9 aspect ratio. For 16:9 monitors, Asus has committed to flat designs. The lineup spans resolutions from 1080p (in the market's first 25-inch OLED monitor) to 4K, with refresh rates ranging from 120Hz to 720Hz. DisplayPort 2.1 is becoming increasingly common alongside HDMI 2.1, while Thunderbolt 4 remains exclusive to Asus' ProArt monitors. USB-C is also becoming standard, with up to 96W power delivery for connected devices. Acer, AOC, ASRock, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, Philips, Samsung, TCL and ViewSonic are also launching new OLED monitors this year. You can find the full overview here.
