BUENOS AIRES, August 12. /TASS/. Five Colombian airports, whose operations were disrupted by the earthquake, have resumed receiving commercial flights, while two remain closed, the country's Civil Aviation Authority reported.

"The authority has decided to gradually reopen a number of airports in the affected areas under certain conditions, prioritizing the safety of passengers and crews as well as the preservation of regional air services," they said in a statement.

According to the authority, the airports of the cities of Armenia, Buenaventura, Cali, Quibdo, and Manizales have resumed receiving commercial flights. The airports of the cities of Cartago and Pereira are open only for state service aircraft.

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck near the city of San Jose del Palmar in the Choco department on August 10, killing 234 people, according to BluRadio.
