Squid Game fans noticed a glaring blunder in the latest season of the hit Netflix show, which premiered on the streaming platform on Boxing Day.

Eagle-eyed fans managed to spot a cameraman in one tense scene who appeared for just a few seconds.

The embarrassing mistake was spotted during a bloody fight scene between the remaining players and the guards in the final episode of the second series.

In the scene the guards, on the orders of the Front Man who was in fact Young-il, the player who Gi-hun thought was one of his closest allies in the new game, open fired on the contestants.

In the bloody battle, players played dead, enticing the guards into a false sense of security before attacking them and stealing their weapons. 

In a surprise twist, Player 001, Young-il, began to fire on his own soldiers, expertly picking them off one by one. 

And while many fans were on the edge of the seats, wondering if player 456 would survive the gun battle and escape, others were distracted by a huge mistake. 

Viewers spotted a cameraman in the background of one shot where a guard snuck round the back of the players' defences and attempted to shoot them down before being killed off himself. 

The member of the crew only appeared for a second but fans of the show found the error very distracting. 

One viewer commented on X: 'Someone is getting fired from the Squid Games team after one of the cameramen was spotted in the background mid episode;.

While another said: 'Had to go watch myself, what a blunder' and a third commented: 'Squid game 2 Episode 7 production error. Look at one of the production team camera man'.

One fan wrote: 'Someone noticed the cameraman caught in this scene of episode 7, around 22 minutes and 38 seconds [two crying emojis]'.

Others said: 'Bro is definitely losing his job after that one' and 'How did I not notice this when I was watching Squid Game?'.

The blunder is the latest issue facing the hit show after viewers flooded X with disappointed comments complaining the second instalment was not what they had hoped for.

Fans unanimously branded it 'boring' and 'predictable' - while also moaning it lacked the show's trademark nail-biting plot. 

Among the long list of complaints, people on the social media platform also raised that there were barely any 'new' games, with some begging producers: 'Don't come back for a new season'.

The bitter commentary was inevitably all over X - formerly Twitter - where viewers wrote: '#SquidGame2 is so underwhelming likeee WHAT WAS EVEN THAT its lowkey so messy and all over the place too many characters to the point idk who to focus on anymore + didnt even introduce them properly and the ending is S**T I didnt wait 2 years for this….'.

And along with fan outrage, the third instalment of the thriller appears to have been accidentally revealed.

Ahead of the release of season three, the streamer shared a short teaser clip to social media featuring a deadly new doll named Chul-su.

The new clip opens with a burst of anxious music as the monumental doll Young-hee, a young girl, is seen from behind. 

A group of people who appear to be Squid Game contestants walk toward her from behind, though seemingly without caution, suggesting they're not in the midst of one of her life-or-death games.

Her face is then seen in extreme closeup, which reveals the motion-detecting sensors hidden in her eyes.

She stands in front of what looks like a painted backdrop of a sunset, but the scene then cuts to a reverse shot showing the new boy doll Chul-su, who appears to be facing her and displaying a similarly eerie smile.

The clip takes on a more menacing tone as red and green lights are shown.

There's a piercing chime, and suddenly the green light illuminates.

'Everyone say hi to Chul-su,' Netflix's post read, before it announced, 'Squid Game 3 coming 2025.'

The latest look at Squid Game season three comes as Netflix appears to have accidentally announced the release date for the new season, though the streamer quickly deleted the post.
