Beyoncé and Jay Z's daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter were proudly at their dad's side for Super Bowl Sunday, much to the delight of fans.

However, the couple's only son, Sir Carter, continues to be noticeably absent when his siblings make public appearances together.

Sunday night left fans delighted to get a new glimpse at Rumi's growing personality, while older sister Blue dazzled with a stylish ensemble.

It came just weeks after Rumi and Blue were seen supporting their mother during her Christmas Day Netflix halftime show in Texas, and the pair also joined their mother in December for a Good Morning America interview to promote Mufasa: The Lion King.

Naturally, many have been left wondering why Sir is yet to join his sisters as they step out with their family members.

Though Blue Ivy has been in the limelight ever since her birth in 2012, Beyoncé and Jay Z have notable been more reluctant to share as much about their twins with the world.

Jay Z enjoyed a family day out with his daughter Blue Ivy and Rumi on Sunday as they watched Super Bowl LIX play out at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans

In fact, the twins have never joined either parent together at awards shows, red carpet events or even sports games since they were born in June 2017.

It has long been believed that this is due to the music super couple's desire to help their children protect their privacy.

During a rare candid chat about motherhood in 2024, Beyoncé admitted to GQ Magazine that she manages her schedule around her children so she is always with them.

'My kids come with me everywhere I go. They come to my office after school, and they are in the studio with me,' she explained. 'They are in dance rehearsals. It's natural that they would learn my choreography.'

She also emphasizes her desire to keep their lives as normal as it could be considering their global fame.

The singer explained: 'One thing I've worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn't turned into a brand. It's very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art.

'I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family. No amount of money is worth my peace.'

To date, fans have only been given brief looks at the twins together in Beyoncé's documentaries, Homecoming and Making The Gift.

Meanwhile, they have made blink-and-you-miss-it appearances in some of their mother's advertising campaigns for her clothing brand, Ivy Park.

The most recent images and clips of Sir seen by the public appeared in his mother's tour movie, Renaissance.

In recent years, Beyoncé's parents Tina and Mathew Tina Knowles have shared insight into the twins' personality.

Their comments have highlighted the fact that Sir's absence from public events is simply due to the fact he is 'laid back and chill' and seemingly not interested in large public outings.

In 2020, Mathew gushed about his grandkids and said: 'Blue Ivy is just so incredible and reminds me of Beyoncé so much.

'Sir, he just wants his world to himself. [His twin sister], Rumi, reminds me of [my daughter] Solange [Knowles].'

Meanwhile, in 2019, Tina explained: 'The girl is really just going to rule the world, and the boy is kind of laid back and chills like the dad. [Blue] is the Queen B. The second Queen B.'

In another chat with E! News, Tina stated: 'Sir is very quiet. He does all of the numbers stuff, so he's not into fashion as much.'

Speaking to E! News, her mother Tina Knowles stated that 'Sir is very quiet. He does all of the numbers stuff, so he's not into fashion as much', adding that he is 'very, very smart'

She also revealed that he is 'very, very smart' while Rumi 'is amazing — an amazing artist, painter, and creator. How could they be anything else, growing up in that environment? All we talk about is creativity and fashion.'

Jay-Z himself gave similar insight into the personalities of his children to Elliott Wilson and Brian Miller on the Rap Radar podcast in 2017.

'Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter. Sir was like, man, came out the gate,' he boasted. 'He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir.'

Elsewhere, Beyoncé has noted that her twins dealt with a few medical issues when they were babies.

When she was in the delivery room with the twins, one of the babies' heartbeats stopped for a few times in the womb and led doctors to perform an emergency C-section.

Meanwhile, in an interview with British Vogue in 2020, the star revealed that she has two beehives in her home with around 80,000 bees in order to make honey for its healing qualities.

'I started the beehives because my daughters, Blue and Rumi, both have terrible allergies, and honey has countless healing properties,' she explained.
