My favourite fashion trends are the ones that are genuinely practical and easy-to-wear (i.e. not mesh ballet flats or low-rise jeans, both of which I am avoiding like the plague). Spring’s biggest jacket trend, therefore, I can get on board with. If you can’t afford to splash several hundred pounds on a genuine suede jackets, then there are some excellent lookalikes for a fraction of the price, with stores such as H&M and New Look offering great shapes and colours.

As for how to style a brown jacket – well, the beauty of this trend is they go with pretty much anything, from a white T-shirt and dark indigo jeans, to a blue striped shirt and wide-leg trousers. For the most fashion-forward look, opt for a jacket that’s slightly oversized rather than fitted, and remember you can experiment with different browns to find the one that best suits you, whether that’s a light tan or a deep cognac shade.
