Alexa Chung, Poppy Delevingne and Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece came up with a striking way to stand out at Milan Fashion Week.

They co-ordinated their looks as they watched the Gucci Autumn/Winter 2024 show, with the three friends wearing matching burgundy shoes — and outfits that showed off their legs.

While television presenter Alexa, 40, and King Charles's goddaughter Maria-Olympia, 27, wore matching £790 Gucci Signoria slingbacks, Cara Delevingne's sister Poppy, 37, added height in a pair of £1,060 Gucci Horsebit platform loafers. 

Poppy has remained close to Olympia since cooling her romance with the Greek royal's brother, Prince Constantine Alexios.

Meeting the in-laws can be daunting, but for BBC star Clive Myrie's wife, Catherine, it proved traumatic.

'My grandma was in the advance stages of vascular dementia,' recalls the newsreader about a visit to Jamaica. 

'She was taken aback, seeing Catherine, this white face... she said, 'Shut your mouth — I'm not your slave'... words and ideas that she heard while her father was working building the Panama Canal Zone.'

Myrie, 59, tells the Desperately Seeking Wisdom podcast: 'I knew it was the dementia talking.'

Having been married for almost a year, Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing continues to make discoveries about his wife and reality show co-star Sophie Habboo.

Laing, 35, a scion of the McVitie's biscuits family, says Habboo, 30, thought Ronald McDonald was a real person.

She explains: 'My mum dated a guy who said he was Ronald McDonald's driver back in the day. What was I meant to think? He lied to me.'

Laing says: 'Ronald McDonald, for anyone who doesn't know, is a clown.'

Sarah Beeny decided to shave her head after losing most of her hair during chemotherapy for breast cancer.

After being given the all-clear last year, the Property Ladder star is now celebrating her hair growing longer than her husband's, artist Graham Swift.

In a photograph shared online by Beeny 52, she is standing back to back with Swift, to whom she's been married for 21 years. The couple have four sons.

'For the first time in ages, my hair is longer than Graham's,' she says.

Beeny has previously spoken of the stresses put on their marriage, saying they were 'hanging on in there by our fingernails'. She admitted: 'I have been a bit horrible in the last couple of years, to be honest.'

Awarded an honorary knighthood for raising millions for famine relief, Live Aid co-founder Bob Geldof nevertheless failed to impress Right Said Fred star Richard Fairbrass, known for the song I'm Too Sexy. 

'I was a mini-cab driver in the early '80s in Fulham. Geldof and Paula had an account,' he says of Geldof and his late wife, Paula Yates. 'I drove them many times. 

She was a joy, he was the very opposite. Rude, arrogant... he never tipped and he'd leave the car door open.' Geldof declines to comment.
