Greek bombshell Antigoni Buxton is set to become the latest contestant to enter the Love Island villa, MailOnline can reveal.  

The 26-year-old singer from North London is currently in Mallorca preparing to make her debut in this year's ITV2 series, which kicked off last week.

She is a former flame of 2018 Islander Jack Fowler, 26, and has a famous mum, celebrity chef Tonia Buxton, 54, who's a regular guest on Sunday Brunch. 

A pal told MailOnline: 'Antigoni is certainly going to turn some heads.

'She's great fun and is naturally very beautiful, as well as being talented with a good head on her shoulders. 

'Her music has always been her priority, but she just couldn't turn down the chance to go on Love Island as she's a big fan of the show and it also means she's guaranteed a fun summer.'

Singer songwriter Antigoni, who also has Cypriot roots, was signed to Island Records when she was 20 by former president Darcus Beese, the man who also signed Amy Winehouse to the label.

MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.  

She's since left to start her own independent label Sirena Records and her latest single Hit List was released last month.

Antigoni, whose music has been described as a mix of 'hip hop with UK beats and Greek/Middle Eastern elements' already has over 23K followers on Instagram, which features an array of glamorous bikini pictures and photos of her family.

The curly-haired beauty had been in a nine-year relationship with her childhood sweetheart before they split up so she could focus on music.

She dated former Islander Jack for a few months, but their romance fizzled out. 

Antigoni has referenced her love life in her music, including single Red Flag, which she released earlier this year.

The song is about her desire to meet men with 'red flags' in order not to fall in love having just got out of a longterm relationship.

But now singletons with 'green flags' are very much on the agenda as she's looking to find a man to settle down with on Love Island.

Antigoni hosted a star-studded event in April to launch her single Red Flag, which was attended by the likes of boxer Anthony Joshua.  

She has the support of her close-kit family, including her stunning mum Tonia, dad Paul, model sister Sophia, and two younger brothers. 

In last night's show, two newcomers arrived at the villa, model, and rapper Remi Lambert, 22, and Jay Younger, 28, who's an investment analyst.

Jay is set to cause problems for Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Italian Davide Sanclimenti, both 27, after the Turkish actress admitted she's attracted to the new arrival.

Tensions seem to rise between Gemma Owen's ex-boyfriend Jacques O'Neill, 23, and Jay, after a clip from Tuesday's show teased some rivalry between the pair.

Meanwhile, Tasha Ghouri, 23, and Andrew Le Page, 27, took their romance to the next level by becoming the first couple of the series to share an intimate night together in The Hideaway.
