Jessika Power has revealed she had to compete on SAS Australia vs England with 'broken' ribs after she suffered an injury during one of the gruelling challenges.

The former Married At First Sight star, 33, told Daily Mail about the harrowing moment during her appearance at the Australian Adult Industry Awards last Thursday.

She said her ribs 'cracked' while she was 'dragged over a ridge' during the rat race challenge, but the medic allowed her to continue on with the show despite the injury.

'When we did the rat race and I'm being dragged over a ridge, I broke my ribs there. I broke three. I cracked them,' she said.

'Honestly, you go to the medic there for anything, unless your bone is sticking out, good luck.

'But do you know what it is, it makes the show authentic. You literally are in the SAS.'

The rat race is a team-based endurance challenge designed to push the stars to their limits.

It usually involves difficult elements like a mud and obstacle crawl, dragging heavy equipment across unforgiving terrain, and navigating narrow tunnels.

Jessika, who appeared in the latest season of the show, went on to say the show was so 'immersive' that she would wake up in the middle of the night with 'scorpions' crawling all over her.

'I woke up in the middle of the night - and this is not a part of the show, it's just because we're in the desert - I had two scorpions crawling over me,' she said.

'I've like called out for Axle [Whitehead], and I was like, "Babe, get this off me," and I killed one and then he killed another.

'This is while you're sleeping because you're in the middle of the desert. They immerse you so well, it's actually a really good show. I love it.'

Jessika left the series after two episodes, telling Daily Mail she struggled with being yelled at by grown men while healing from a previous 'domestic violence' situation.

'I went just full tunnel vision. It's 4 o'clock in the morning, I'm doing burpees, I've got broken ribs,' she said.

Should reality shows push contestants to keep going after serious injuries like broken ribs?

What's your view?

She told Daily Mail her ribs 'cracked' while she was 'dragged over a ridge' during the rat race challenge, but the medic allowed her to continue on with the show despite the injury

'I said, "I've just gone through a DV relationship that feels so bad that I'm just not doing it, I'm not going back on my therapy." That's the reason why I left,' she added.

A spokesperson for Channel 4 told Daily Mail: 'Recruits are supported and constantly evaluated by a team of doctors and medical experts.

'Injuries, if they occur, are evaluated on a case by case basis.

'If a recruit is judged to have a painful but manageable injury they will in some cases be permitted to continue on the course if they choose to.

'If an injury is deemed more serious by medical staff, even if the recruit wishes to continue, they will be withdrawn.'

Jessika shared her story while attending the Australian Adult Industry Awards where she presented the Creator of the Year Award to Miffy 'Fifi' Bones.

'Having Jessika present the Creator of the Year Award was incredibly fitting,' said Belinda Gavin, the Director of Sxhibition.

'She understands firsthand the dedication, creativity, consistency, and entrepreneurial spirit required to succeed in today's creator landscape.'

'Her own journey has inspired countless creators across Australia and beyond, making her the perfect person to recognise excellence within the industry,' she added.

Jessika’s next appearance will be at Sxhibition in Melbourne, where she will meet fans from 19 to 20 September.

'Jessika has become an important part of the SXhibition family,' Belinda said.

'She was involved in our Brisbane event and is now joining us again for Melbourne, bringing her energy, professionalism, and influence to an audience that continues to grow every year.

'We are incredibly proud to have Jessika involved with SXhibition and grateful for the support she continues to show our industry.'
