Candlestick was revealed to be former Great British Bake Off star Liam Charles on The Masked Dancer on Saturday.

The television personality, 25, told judges Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall, Peter Crouch and special guest panellist Mo Gilligan: 'I promise you I have zero dance experience,' as they nominated him to identify himself.

Liam was seen teasing the panel as he slowly removed the head of his costume before turning around to show his face.

After his unveiling Liam said of his appearance on the series: 'I really loved Candlestick, the more I wore it, the more I loved it,' before naming his signature dance move the 'candle flick'.

He added that, while he didn't find keeping his part in the show secret, he did find it difficult not being allowed to talk while filming.

Liam finished in fifth place on the 2018 series of the Great British Bake Off, with the then-student going on to present Bake Off: The Professionals the same year alongside comedian Tom Allen.

It comes after there was a triple unveiling on The Masked Dancer last week after Pillar and Post was forced to pull out of the competition for medical reasons.

Last Saturday, television host Steph McGovern was eliminated after being revealed as Tomato Sauce.  

Following a vote, the judging panel - Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall and Peter Crouch - decided it was time for Tomato Sauce to give up the disguise during Saturday's show 

It came after footballing legend David Seaman and wife Frankie left the show after being unmasked as Pillar and Post due to an injury.  

Reflecting on her experience, Steph said: 'I've loved it! I've had the time of my life.'

While Davina then called her an 'amazing dancer' Jonathan gushed that they could tell, even behind the mask, that she was 'having fun'.  

Earlier in the episode the first ever masked duo Pillar and Post exited the show due to a medical injury.

Ice skater Frankie took a tumble during rehearsals and was forced to leave the show on doctor's orders.

Host Joel Dommett said: 'Sadly, Pillar took a tumble during rehearsals and I am absolutely gutted to tell you that on medical advice they have had to withdraw from the competition.' 

'We were gutted as we absolutely loved every minute! It was great fun but a tumble meant our Masked journey came to an end too soon, we had such a blast and we were sad that we had to hang up our masks without being able to share our final dance with you all!

'We have loved being part of this series and we wish the other competitors the best of luck as we continue to watch at home and try to guess who all the other celebrities are!'

An ITV spokesperson confirmed: 'Due to an injury sustained during rehearsals Pillar has had to withdraw from the competition, we wish her a speedy recovery.'
