A married North Carolina school counselor turned herself into the police after allegedly taking 'indecent liberties' with students. 

Lesli Bryant, 37, is facing two charges of indecent liberties and another of second degree exploitation of a minor, according to court records seen by the Daily Mail. 

According to an arrest warrant obtained by the Daily Mail, the alleged incidents all happened while she was a counselor at Orange High School.

The warrant mentions two students. A document seen by WRAL accused her of using Snapchat to communicate with the two. 

This communication, according to the outlet, included the exchanging of nude images and videos as recently as April. 

Bryant, who is married and has three children, previously worked at the school but resigned last month after being placed on administrative leave. 

School administrators had notified the Orange County Sheriff's Office about allegations concerning Bryant and multiple students, sparking their probe. 

Bryant appeared in court on Thursday afternoon after being held in a detention center and posted a $50,000 bond put up by her husband Daniel, court papers said. 

The pair live inside a $650,000 home with their children in Hillsborough, North Carolina. 

A statement from the sheriff's office said: 'This morning, former Orange County Schools employee, Lesli Bryant, 37, turned herself in at the magistrate’s office after Orange County Sheriff’s Office Investigator C. Tapp obtained warrants charging her with two counts of indecent liberties with students and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor.

'After school administrators notified a school resource officer of allegations of misconduct by Bryant with multiple students, deputies opened an investigation. Bryant resigned on June 12, 2026.

'Bryant, of Hillsborough, is in the Orange County Detention Center without bond, pending the outcome of her 2 p.m. first appearance in court today.

'The investigation is active and ongoing.'

In a statement, Orange County Schools said: 'Orange County Schools takes matters involving the safety and well-being of students extremely seriously.

'Upon receiving notice of allegations of misconduct of a now former Orange High School counselor, the district immediately reviewed and placed the employee on suspension with pay. 

'The employee resigned on June 12, 2026. As this is now a criminal matter, Orange County Schools will defer questions regarding the investigation and any charges to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. 

'Orange County Schools remains committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.'

Bryant is next due back in court on July 20. The Daily Mail contacted her attorney for comment.
