There’s good news from Berlin! Journey Planet has won the 2026 Achievement Award for Best Fanzine for Journey Planet #93: Andor: Season Two, presented at Metropolcon Eurocon in Berlin, Germany.

Co-editor James Bacon was there to accept the award on behalf of the editorial team. The award-winning issue was co-edited by Allison Hartman Adams, James Bacon, and Chris Garcia.

The editors are thrilled and deeply honored by the recognition, especially given the strength of this year’s finalists. They extend their congratulations to all of the nominees and winners, whose work continues to demonstrate the creativity, passion, and diversity of European fandom.

As with every issue of Journey Planet, this award belongs to far more people than the names on the masthead. The editors offer their heartfelt thanks to the contributors who made this special issue possible: Hannah Strom-Martin, David Ferguson, Autun Purser, Peppard Saltine, James Mason, Brenda Noiseux, and Josh Gauthier. They also wish to recognize Iain Clark for his stunning cover artwork, and Sara Felix, Autun Purser, and Simon Adams for the visionary interior illustrations that helped bring the issue to life.

Focusing on the second season of Andor, Journey Planet #93 celebrated one of the most talked-about works of contemporary science fiction television through essays, criticism, artwork, and fannish enthusiasm. Seeing that shared passion recognized with an Achievement Award makes the honor all the more meaningful.

The editors thank everyone who has read, contributed to, supported, and shared Journey Planet over the years. Fandom has always been about community, conversation, and celebrating the stories we love, and this award is a wonderful reminder of that tradition.
