The son of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert was arrested Sunday on five felony charges, including three counts related to sexual exploitation of a child, following an investigation by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyler Boebert, 21, was arrested Sunday on a warrant after an investigation by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office and a felony review by the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, according to a news release from the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office. Bond was set at $10,000, and Boebert was released from the Garfield County Jail the same day after posting bond.

According to the Garfield County Courthouse, Boebert faces three counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Two are class 3 felonies, including one involving inducing or enticing and another involving possession with intent. The third, involving video, is a class 4 felony.

Boebert also faces two class 4 felony counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Boebert is scheduled to appear in court for an appearance on bond Aug. 19.

The new charges come as Boebert is also facing sentencing in a separate criminal case dating to 2024.

He was initially charged with 15 counts in that case, but only one charge remains. Boebert is facing attempted identity theft, a class 5 felony involving the alleged use of another person’s personal or financial identifying information to obtain something of value, according to the Garfield County Courthouse.

Boebert is scheduled for a sentencing hearing in that case Sept. 10.
