Nevada Heavy Equipment Attraction Renews Top Safety Designation

Dig This Las Vegas earns SHARP renewal from state officials for maintaining exemplary workplace safety standards and low injury rates.

A heavy equipment playground in Nevada has renewed its status in a state program recognizing exemplary workplace safety and health standards.

The Safety Consultation and Training Section (SCATS) of the State of Nevada's Division of Industrial Relations announced the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) renewal for Dig This Las Vegas. The company first entered the program in 2024.

SHARP honors small businesses that maintain injury and illness rates below national industry averages while actively implementing hazard prevention and employee training protocols. Qualifying employers can receive up to a three-year exemption from routine OSHA inspections.

According to state officials, participating in the voluntary initiative helped the venue identify critical health and safety planning improvements to strengthen its existing workplace protocols.

SCATS provides confidential, no-cost safety consultations, hazard identification guidance and educational training to employers across Nevada.
