Police responded at approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 14 to reports of a fire-damaged vehicle parked on a pad at the back of a home near 104 Street and 112 Avenue, they said in a Wednesday news release. Investigators have determined that the fire was set deliberately. They have been unable to identify a woman captured on surveillance footage who they suspect is involved in the fire.

The suspect is described as wearing a black baseball cap, black pants, a black T-shirt, and black-and-white running shoes. She was also seen carrying a pink crossbody bag, a dark-coloured backpack, and a blue plastic bag.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the suspect contact EPS at 780-423-4567. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
