The Peace Begins at Home Handbook, written by Gina Miltiadou and published by The Center for Partnership Systems, reflects Women without Borders’ commitment to turning research into action. Drawing on insights shared by experts from 17 countries during the 2025 Peace Begins at Home Summit, the Handbook translates research and lived experience into practical tools for individuals and organisations working to build peace. WwB’s Parenting for Peace models are featured as best-practice examples.
Women without Borders’ Founder and Chair, Dr. Edit Schlaffer, participated in the 2026 Peace Begins at Home Summit, organised by Gina Miltiadou, Dr. Riane Eisler, and The Center for Partnership Systems. The Handbook resulting from the Summit brings together the insights and lessons shared during panel discussions featuring 26 speakers from 17 countries.
WwB’s Parenting for Peace models feature in Part Six of the Handbook, Partnership in Practice. This section outlines “five replicable models proving what works,” including MotherSchools and FatherSchools, as examples of effective approaches to building peace through partnership.
