Kim Kardashian shaved her hair stylist Chris Appleton's hair down to a buzzcut as he prepares to make his Strictly Come Dancing debut. 

The television personality, 45, swapped seats as she gave Chris's highlighted hair the chop with the pair documenting the moment on a TikTok video. 

Chris, 43, commented he had done Kim's hair for a decade as she took a pair of scissors before trying a razor. 

He warned her after one cut: 'Kim that was really close to my scalp!.' Undeterred, Kim continued and seemed very happy with the finished result. 

She said: 'I think I did a pretty good job. I'm proud of myself.' Checking out his reflection, Chris replied: 'Good work. This side needs a little bit more of a trim but I think that's good.' 

Chris captioned the post: 'Buzzed by Kim …. confidence she had with those clippers'. 

Fans wrote in the comments: 'This is iconic' and 'the best duo'. 

Chris is a world-renowned hair stylist and is best known for working with Kim Kardashian. He is originally from Leicester but moved to LA back in 2015 to propel his career. 

Named a 'Hair Star' by Vogue UK, Chris's work has been showcased on covers and in major features for publications including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, Grazia, L'Officiel Paris, and more. 

His other celebrity clients include Jennifer Lopez, Sofía Vergara, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry. 

He recently made the New York Times Best Sellers list for his debut memoir Your Roots Don't Define You.

Chris said of joining the Strictly line up: 'I'm thrilled to be joining Strictly Come Dancing and coming home to the UK for this incredible experience. 

'I've always believed that the best things happen when you take a chance and try something new. I may know my way around a salon floor, but the dance floor is a whole different story – and I can't wait to get started.'

Strictly Come Dancing returns to screens later this year. 

He will compete against Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem,  Cach Mercer, Will Best, Dame Sarah Storey, Jaime Winstone, Bethany Antonia, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Graeme Hall, Lawrence Robb, Tabby Stoecker, Melanie Walker and John Nellis.

The cast for the upcoming 2026 series is complete but disappointed fans of the BBC's flagship show have criticised the 'weak' line-up, with fans claiming there aren't enough 'household names'. 

An insider has revealed the BBC has a casting strategy as part of its major overhaul of the show, which has been running for 22 years.

This year, the series has been deliberate in its targeting of celebrities with big social media followings in a ploy to attract younger viewers to the show.

It has been suggested this is to follow a similar, hugely successful social media strategy employed by its US counterpart Dancing With The Stars. 

'Although your traditional Strictly audience might not know who some of the signings are, that's not as important as bringing in new viewers who are more than familiar with them,' the source revealed.

'Their followers are vast in numbers, enthusiastic and, by sharing content on Strictly, raise the profile of the show massively.

'And, in time, the viewers who don't know these people get to know them. If anything they end up going on much more of a "Strictly Journey" than the stars you'd describe as "household names,"' the source added to The Sun.

Chris might not be a household name, but he does boast a huge social media following with 4million fans on Instagram.
