Russia and China hold aligned positions on key issues of the global order, with cooperation between the two states serving as a major stabilizing factor in the modern system of international relations, Russian and Chinese ambassadors to Japan, Nikolay Nozdrev and Wu Jianghao, said in a joint article published by their respective diplomatic missions in Tokyo.

"Russia and China hold aligned positions on key issues of the global order," they said, adding that Russia and China, as permanent members of the UN Security Council, "consistently uphold the priority of respect by all countries for the purposes and principles of the UN Charter."

"Amidst mounting geopolitical rivalry and international tensions fueled by the policies of certain states acting in accordance with a logic of hegemonism and a neocolonial mindset, cooperation between Moscow and Beijing brings significant stability to the regional situation and serves as a key stabilizing factor in the modern system of international relations," the diplomatic representatives of the two countries stressed.
