Faisal Niaz Tirmizi declined to say whether the talks were taking place in Islamabad

MOSCOW, August 13. /TASS/. Iran and the United States are holding talks behind closed doors, and some progress has been made, Pakistan's Ambassador to Moscow Faisal Niaz Tirmizi told TASS.

Asked whether contacts between Tehran and Washington had produced progress, the diplomat answered in the affirmative, saying that consultations "are going on right now."

The ambassador declined to say whether the talks were taking place in Islamabad. "This is not public information, but we are working on it," Tirmizi said.
