After dating for a year, Cooper was married to Blue Bloods actor Jennifer Esposito for just four months before divorcing in 2007. In 2014, Esposito slammed Cooper in her autobiography, calling him a “master manipulator.”

“The relationship was about him and what he needed, and nothing else,” she wrote. “It wasn’t all bad all the time, so I figured this was just my lot, and I took the good with the bad, even though the bad was extremely bad.”

There’s Something About Mary actor Cameron Diaz was spotted hanging out with Cooper in New York in 2007, but Cooper later insisted that they were “good friends,” per People.

Cooper dated former CAA talent agent Isabella Brewster (sister of The Fast and the Furious star Jordana Brewster) for a year in 2008. 

Cooper and Jennifer Aniston, with whom co-starred in He’s Just Not That Into You but didn’t share any scenes, were spotted grabbing dinner in 2009. Though nothing serious came of it, they certainly looked like a cute couple.

Cooper began dating Bridget Jones’ Diary actor Renée Zellweger in 2009, three years after they co-starred in Case 39.

“I can’t say enough about her,” Cooper said in September 2010, just after the pair reportedly moved in together, per People. “I just love her. I [loved] coming to work. I love acting with her. I can learn so much from her.”

However, pair called it quits in 2011. According to reports, Cooper’s busy work schedule got in the way.

Olivia Wilde was spotted getting flirty with Cooper at the Hangover II afterparty in 2011. Though sources for Us Weekly stated that the two were “definitely hooking up,” an official relationship never happened.

Cooper and Zoë Saldana began dating while costarring in the drama The Words in 2012. They dated throughout the year, but seemed to split by New Year’s Eve, which they celebrated separately. Saldana wed husband Marco Perego in June 2013, mere months after ending things with Cooper.

Cooper and much younger model Suki Waterhouse met at the Elle Style Awards in 2013, and they dated for two years before ending things in 2015. According to the Daily Mail, the reason for the split was that Cooper felt “neglected” by the jet-setting fashion model when she chose to spend Valentine’s Day with her friends instead of visiting him. 

Cooper and Russian-born supermodel Irina Shayk were first linked in April 2015. 

In April 2017, the pair welcomed their daughter, Lea De Seine. “Having a child, and having a family of my own — which is a miracle and something I’ve always dreamt of — has opened me up even more, I guess, to the day, and to be present,” Cooper told NPR of becoming a dad.

Cooper and Shayk split in June 2019 after four years together, but have remained close as co-parents and are regularly seen spending time together with their daughter.

The pair appeared to be rekindling their romance in 2022, but that later fizzled out.

Cooper was linked to political staffer Huma Abedin, a longtime aide of Hillary Clinton, after they both attended the Met Gala in May 2022.

“They are dating but it’s not a full-speed-ahead type thing yet,” a source told People in July 2022. “It’s still in the earlier stages.”

The pair fizzled out by August 2022, when Cooper and Shayk appeared to be reconciling.

Cooper and Gigi Hadid were first linked in October 2023, after reportedly meeting at Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ daughter’s birthday party.

In an April 2025 interview with Vogue, Hadid described their relationship as a “very romantic and happy dynamic.”

“To find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be. I just feel really lucky,” she said. “I respect him so much as a creative, and I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief.”
