Why Rob Gronkowski didn't give Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift a wedding gift

What do you get for the couple that has it all? Nothing.
That’s what Rob Gronkowski gave to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift for their wedding gift. It’s not that Gronk is a bad gift giver, he was simply giving the newlyweds exactly what they asked for.
“Didn’t get him anything,” Gronkowski told NBC Sports’ Eddie Scheidler about his fellow tight end. “You weren’t supposed to get them gifts, so it’s a good thing I didn’t. I don’t want to break the rules.”
The former New England Patriots star and current FOX football analyst was one of many celebrity guests invited to Madison Square Garden in New York on July 3 for what’s been called the wedding of the year by some – and the wedding of the century by Swifties.
“It was top notch, and it was popping,” Gronkowski said while promoting T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights, which gives cash prizes to small-town high schools across the country. “It was really popping, the wedding, and it was just great, all the different backgrounds, occupations there and everyone just mingling together like everyone belonged.”
The four-time Super Bowl champion attended the wedding with his girlfriend Camille Kostek — and one of Gronk’s former teammates.
“Julian Edelman was the third wheel, so we were kind of looking for some girls for him,” Gronkowski said on “TODAY” earlier Thursday. “He was going, ‘Who’s that? Is she single?’ I’m like, ‘Go for it, Julian.’
“Camille and I were trying to play matchmaker, but no luck,” he added. “But Julian doesn’t need any luck. He’s a beautiful looking kid.”

Gronkowski, a 2027 candidate for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Kelce are among the top tight ends in NFL history, with their playing careers overlapping for eight seasons. Kelce is entering his 14th season needing 10 touchdowns to match Gronkowski’s total of 92 for third most all time by a tight end.
Their tight-end ties, shared Pro Bowl experiences and 2021 Super Bowl matchup helped lead to Gronk getting an invite to Kelce’s wedding.
Kelce, at training camp on Wednesday, made his first public comments about his wedding.
“The wedding was the best night of my life,” he told reporters. “I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us. That’s about all I got for that night. It was a crazy night.”
Even with no gifts.
Gronkowski was asked if Kelce and Swift sent him a thank you card.
“They didn’t need to send me anything,” he said. “I should be sending them a thank you card for inviting me.”
