A homecoming queen has tragically died aged 18 just weeks after graduating from a top Christian high school.

Alivia Daniels was airlifted to Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm.

The 18-year-old graduated from Athens Christian School in May and was preparing to attend college in a few short weeks to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist.

'Alivia was a bright and shining light on the ACS campus,' her high school said in a Facebook post announcing her death. 'A sweet and kind soul. She had an infectious personality and was loved by students and faculty alike.'

Daniels was elected homecoming queen during her senior year, a member of the National Honor Society and played volleyball.

She was also a musician, seamstress and had a passion for photography, her obituary said.

'Her joyful spirit, contagious laughter, unwavering faith, and Christ-like love touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her,' her family said in the tribute.

Her life serves as a beautiful reminder that a life measured in years can still have an eternal impact.'

Daniels is said to have 'loved deeply, encouraged freely, and lived with genuine compassion.'

She was strong in her faith, with her loved ones hailing how she 'lived a life that reflected the love, grace, and joy of Jesus Christ.'

'She loved the Lord more than anything and faithfully shined His light everywhere she went,' the obituary read.

'Her faith was not only something she professed – it was something she lived each day. She never met a stranger, never complained, and never spoke a harsh word about anyone.'

She is survived by her father Jared Daniels, mother Brandy Knott and stepfather, Kevin Knott, as well as her siblings Kayla, Hunter, Nicholas and Jared.

Her obituary paid special mention to the 'love of her life' Hudson Mize and his family, described as her 'future in-laws.'

It is unclear if the couple were officially engaged, though in several photos she is seen wearing a ring on her left hand.

Daniels' funeral will be held this afternoon at Bethany Baptist Church in Canon.

Athens Christian School also plans to honor Daniels in a 'special way' at the start of the upcoming school year in hopes of keeping her memory alive for a long time.

Her loved ones have started a GoFundMe campaign to help her parents with hospital bills, funeral and memorial expenses as they 'navigate this unimaginable time of grief.'

'Her loss has left her family, friends, and everyone who knew her heartbroken beyond words,' the fundraiser said. 'Your kindness, prayers, and generosity mean more to her family than words can express during this difficult time.'

Meanwhile, tributes have started pouring in for the 'beautiful' young woman whose 'time on earth was far too short.'

'You were a light in the darkness. I am struggling to understand why something like this would happen to someone so beautiful, kind, and full of life,' one relative wrote in a heartbreaking Facebook post.

'Just barely 18 years old and preparing to start college in two weeks. You exemplified goodness. You didn't just believe in God, you lived it. You walked a righteous path.'

'I thank you God for this past week, I thank you God for the blessing of Alivia. I hope there’s porches in heaven because she’d love it. Today was the best day of her life, she got to meet Jesus. I’ll miss you baby girl, take care of all my kids up there. Make sure they brush their teeth.'

A family friend added: 'Heaven gained a precious angel... Alivia, you are now in the arms of God and no more worries of this crazy world.'
