It is an opportunity for community leaders, businesses, healthcare professionals and supporters to invest in caregiver education and the future of senior care.

“The reality is that aging impacts all of us,” said Greg A. Vital, co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “Whether it’s a parent, grandparent, spouse, neighbor or friend, every family will experience the challenges and opportunities that come with growing older. The question becomes: Are we doing enough to support the people who care for them?”

The Morning Pointe Foundation was established to help answer that question by investing in both today’s caregivers and tomorrow’s senior care workforce. Proceeds from the annual golf tournament help fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in nursing, social work, therapy, culinary arts and other senior care-related professions through partnerships with colleges, universities, community colleges and Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology. The Foundation
also provides free educational programs that equip family and professional caregivers with the knowledge and resources needed to better support older adults.

Last year’s tournament raised nearly $90,000 to advance those efforts, directly benefiting students and caregivers throughout the Tennessee Valley.

Funds raised through the tournament support students attending local partner schools, including the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Chattanooga State Community College, Southern Adventist University, Tennessee Wesleyan University, Dalton State, Cleveland State Community College and the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology in Athens and Chattanooga. By investing in these educational partnerships, the Foundation is helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals who will care for seniors throughout the region.

“When people participate in this event, they’re doing more than supporting a golf tournament,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “They’re helping open doors for students preparing for careers in senior care while also providing education and support for families who are caring for aging loved ones today. The impact extends far beyond a single day on
the course.”

“At its heart, this event is about people,” Mr. Vital said. “Investing in education and workforce development today helps ensure that older adults receive the quality care they deserve tomorrow. Every scholarship, every educational program and every partnership is an investment in stronger communities and better care for generations to come.”

The 2026 tournament will be be held at Lookout Mountain Club, at 1730 Wood Nymph Road on Lookout Mountain.

Tournament Schedule:
7:30 a.m. – Registration and Breakfast 8:30 a.m. – Shotgun Start
1:00 p.m. – Luncheon and Awards Banquet

Participants will enjoy breakfast, golf, networking opportunities, contests, prizes and an awards presentation while helping support programs that make a lasting difference in the lives of seniors
and caregivers.
