Cooling system failure in Phoenix caused hosting and email services to go down.

Domain registrar and hosting company Namecheap said this afternoon that its services are back online.

Many services run from a RadiusDC data center went offline on Thursday after a storm caused a cooling system failure at the Phoenix data center.

The company’s hosting services, EasyWP, and email all became unavailable for many customers due to the outage. DNS resolution and URL forwarding continued to work, but management of these services was impacted.

Namecheap said the RadiusDC data center is a Tier 3 data center with a high level of redundancy, and it hasn’t experienced this type of outage in its 25-year history. However, it will assess its systems and consider what additional redundancy it can add.
