Roblox has showcased several parental control features designed to help parents better manage their children’s gaming experience. The platform’s parental dashboard allows parents to link their Roblox account with their child’s account, giving them access to tools for managing screen time, spending, content restrictions, and account activity from a single interface.
According to Roblox, the controls are designed to provide families with greater visibility and flexibility while allowing children to continue exploring games within boundaries set by parents.

The parental dashboard allows parents to set daily gameplay limits based on specific hours or minutes. Once the allocated playtime is exhausted, Roblox automatically logs the child out for the remainder of the day.
Parents can also view a seven-day activity summary showing how much time their child has spent playing throughout the week.
Set Monthly Spending LimitsRoblox also offers spending controls that allow parents to define a monthly spending cap for in-game purchases.
Once the limit is reached, purchases are automatically blocked until the following month. Parents can also enable real-time notifications whenever their child attempts to make a purchase.
Restrict Games Using Maturity FiltersThe platform includes built-in maturity ratings that allow parents to control which experiences are accessible.
Parents can choose between different maturity levels, including:
Selecting a lower maturity level automatically hides experiences containing more intense themes, action, or social interactions that may not be suitable for younger players.
Block Individual GamesBeyond maturity ratings, Roblox also allows parents to manually block specific games.
Parents can search for any experience and add it to a blocked list, preventing it from appearing in the child’s search results or recommendations, even if the title meets the selected maturity rating.
Monitor Account Activity RemotelyThe parental dashboard also provides remote access to account activity, allowing parents to review:
This enables parents to stay informed about their child’s activity without needing direct access to the device.
Roblox Kids & Roblox SelectRoblox has also introduced two age-based account experiences designed to provide additional safeguards for younger users.
Roblox Kids, intended for children aged 5-8 years, features a distinct blue interface, disables chat by default, and limits access to experiences rated Minimal or Mild.
Roblox Select, designed for users aged 9-15 years, offers age-appropriate experiences with moderated communication features and friend-focused interactions. Parents retain control over chat permissions, game access, and other safety settings through the parental dashboard.

Roblox says these features are intended to give parents more control over their children’s gaming experience while helping create a safer and more age-appropriate environment for younger players.
