Police looking for suspect who shot, injured 2 people after argument at North Park bar

Two men were injured in a shooting early Thursday after an argument in a bar in San Diego’s North Park neighborhood.
The shooting occurred at 2 a.m. Thursday outside Pizza on Pearl. Police said the victims and the suspect got into a fight at The Office Bar. Once the bar closed, the victims were walking south on the block of 30th Street when the suspect came up from behind and shot at them.
A security camera outside Encontro North Park recorded the shooting. The restaurant manager says that on it you can see the gunman and the victims exchanging words on the sidewalk in front of Pizza on Pearl. From the video, it appears the suspect pulled out his gun and fired toward their feet.
A 42-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 33-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his hand and declined medical treatment, the department reported.
The suspect fled the scene on foot following the shooting and remained at large. He was described as a man in his 20s wearing a black hat, a black T-shirt and black jeans.
Happy Medium is a bar just a few doors down from where the shooting occurred. Bartender Courtney Newman was shocked to hear of the shooting.
“It blows my mind. It’s not the vibe, it’s not the vibe,” Newman said.
Newman was working just until midnight the night before.
“Wow, it’s very surprising,” said Eboni Harvey, a regular at The Office Bar. “It’s always chill, to be honest. It’s always chill.”
The bar’s doors were still locked an hour after it was supposed to open on Thursday.  
Word of the shooting has been spreading fast among retailers, servers, and their managers at the restaurants in North Park. Many of their bosses are texting them, telling them to be vigilant and use the buddy system when getting to and from their cars.
“It is concerning, especially on the weekends. It’s extremely lively with a bunch of bars open until 2 a.m.,” said Newman.
San Diego police said they are continuing to look for the suspect.
Authorities urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact the SDPD or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
