Katy Perry made a subtle Instagram debut with new boyfriend Justin Trudeau when she uploaded a post on Tuesday in celebration of her 41st birthday. 

The Dark Horse songstress - who is currently amidst her global Lifetimes Tour - shared photos and clips as she excitedly rung in turning one year older. 

Perry and the former prime minister of Canada, 53, were first romantically linked back in July and recently went public with their budding relationship over the past weekend in Paris.

The performer - who officially turned 41 on October 25 - included one clip which showed her blowing out candles to a cake topped with sugary icing. 

She was backstage amid one of her tour stops while surrounded by her backup dancers and crew during the special moment. 

And as she blew out the candles, Trudeau was briefly spotted far in the background with a big smile on his face as he cheered on the pop star. 

Perry later made an attempt to humorously toss the cake in the direction of one of her crew members, but missed - causing the entire uneaten dessert to plummet face down onto the floor. 

Some of her dancers and other crew were later filmed taking small bites of the destroyed cake from the ground. 

However, the moment was blasted by some social media users - with some calling Perry both 'selfish' and 'wasteful.' 

Perry and Trudeau were first spotted together back in July grabbing dinner in Montreal during the Canadian leg of her Lifetimes Tour - which is slated to concluded later this year in December. 

It comes shortly after it was revealed in June that the singer split from fiance Orlando Bloom. 

The former couple began dating in 2016 and became engaged three years later. The two stars also share five-year-old daughter Daisy. 

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor is also father to 14-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr. 

Representatives for Perry and Bloom previously told DailyMail.com at the time that, 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting. 

'They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.' 

Trudeau split from wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023 following 18 years of marriage and welcoming three children together. 

Over the past weekend on Saturday, Perry and Trudeau went public with their romance as they held hands during a night out in Paris to celebrate her birthday.

The couple looked loved up as they stopped by Crazy Horse in the bustling city - with the singer wearing a figure-hugging red gown which boasted a scoop neckline and thigh-high slit.

Meanwhile the former prime minister of Canada looked dapper in a black suit which he paired with a coordinated T-shirt.

The pair looked smitten as they exited the theatre and made their way to a chauffeured vehicle. 

The sighting came just one day after sources told Us Weekly that Perry is 'really into' her connection with Trudeau.

'Katy is really into it. She's very happy,' the insider shared. 'She's trying to keep it low-key, and they've spent a lot of private time together. She's not looking to publicize this relationship.'

The insider added: 'Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn't met a lot of her friends yet.'

Earlier this month, the Daily Mail published exclusive photos of the former politician and the entertainer getting very cozy on a yacht.

Multiple sources previously told Us Weekly in September that the unexpected couple were seeing each other.

'They've decided to be much more private about it. They are still speaking and are very interested in each other,' one person told the outlet.

Another person close to the pair said the relationship 'isn't serious' due to Perry being 'extremely busy' on her Lifetimes tour.

'Justin has made plans to see her when she has downtime in a few weeks when she gets back from her tour in Brazil,' an insider said. 'Katy is taking it day by day but is very open to dating.'

A source close to Perry recently told Daily Mail how the romance between the songstress and Trudeau came to be. 

'She's very into astrology,' the friend told the Mail. 'Katy said he is a solid guy and she loves that he is an earth sign, a Capricorn. 

'She is a Scorpio, like a total typical Scorpio, so she is very driven and headstrong. So she likes having an earth sign as a boyfriend because it grounds her.'

Following her separation from Bloom, the performer 'had been looking for a strong, older man to date who is also high profile. Justin is just the man for her. He fits her needs. She is thrilled.' 

The friend also said that the mom-of-one is 'happy' Trudeau is a politician rather than an actor or musician.
