For the fourth day in a row, Las Vegas may see a round of monsoonal moisture.

There’s a 20 to 30 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms Saturday, said Morgan Stessman, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in Las Vegas.

The forecast high temperature is 98, several degrees below the normal of 103. Sunday’s high will struggle to reach 100.

A low-pressure system coming from the Pacific Ocean is helping cool the valley off after two weeks of extreme heat and it’s boosting chances of showers in Southern Nevada, Stessman said.

On Friday, a wave of monsoonal moisture pushed its way through the valley, giving many areas some much-needed rain. Harry Reid International Airport received 0.03 inches of rain, the second day in a row it saw rain.

Parts of Las Vegas also saw rain Wednesday and Thursday, especially in eastern valley neighborhoods.
