Kvarner and the Highlands

Based on an unfinished novel by Edith Wharton and adapted for television by Katherine Jakeways, the TV series is set in the 1870s, the golden age of the Industrial Revolution. It is the story of a group of young women, the daughters of American magnates, who travel across the ocean to England to marry well. Along with the fun and romance, there are constant love dramas and cultural clashes between the British and American aristocracy.
