A star reportedly threatened to throw a crew member off cliff after suffering meltdown while filming Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The Sun claims that boxer Anthony Ogogo had to be calmed down by crew after the stress of the show got too much for him.

The latest series was filmed in New Zealand and is reportedly set to star Love Island alumni Ovie Soko, TOWIE star Pete Wicks, Bianca Gascoigne, actor John Barrowman and gymnast Ellie Downie - as well as Anthony.

A source told the publication of the alleged incident: 'Anthony went crazy after a tough task that involved pulling something up the side of a mountain in the snow.

'He was stressed out from the ­challenge and took his anger out on a crew member. He screamed at him and threatened to throw him off the side.

'He's a big bloke and because he's a boxer, everyone was terrified. 

'Thankfully he calmed down eventually and no one was hurt but it was a scary situation.'

Representatives for Anthony and Channel 4 have been contacted for comment by MailOnline. 

Anthony was forced to retire early from boxing after a career-ending eye injury in 2016, following a bronze medal at the London Olympics in 2012. 

The show will once again see a star-studded lineup travel abroad to face a slew of terrifying challenges, while overcoming their worst fears.

It will also be a return to the series for one star, with Pete given another chance to appear after being forced to pull out of the show in 2022 with a broken rib.

Former Love Island star Bianca Gascoigne is vowing to prove she's well-matched for the SAS challenges despite her glamorous persona.

A source claimed she is aware of the 'preconceptions' around her and she's keen to 'show people what she's made of.'

They added that Bianca loves 'challenging herself,' and is hoping to push herself to her 'mental and physical limits.'

Reality star Marnie Simpson is another star reportedly taking part.

After welcoming her second child last May, Marnie is hoping to make her family proud by taking part in the series.

The star tied the knot with her partner Casey Johnson in April in a star-studded ceremony. 

A source said: 'Marnie is on her way to New Zealand as we speak - determined to prove how much she's changed compared to the party girl from Geordie Shore.'

TOWIE's Bobby Norris and Georgia Harrison, Boris Johnson's sister Rachel Johnson and stand-up comedian Tez Ilyas are among the other names tipped to have filmed the show.
