MAILONLINE BLOG: Recap our coverage from Strictly Come Dancing week eight as nine remaining pairs aim to book spot on ballroom at Blackpool Tower.

Strictly Come Dancing replacement Lauren Oakley and her partner JB Gill finished joint-top of the leaderboard as the pairs danced to book their spot at Blackpool Tower
Lauren and JB ended the night on 37 points on equal standing with Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec.
Meanwhile, two couples, Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas and Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu came joint bottom with 30 points with the results show to be broadcast tomorrow.

Shirley gave a huge hint on Chris McCausland’s dancing ability when she said he dances up to his own standard. This means he’s reached his limit and should be voted off to let better dancers through. Take note people.
Sorry I like Pete and Jovita but getting a 10 for that dance is obscene marking.
Have a feeling Tasha may be in the dance off...just feel sorry for who is in there with her. Think the public are getting fed up with the judges gushing over a professional dancer

The couple performed a lift in complete darkness as a poignant moment.
Chris and Dianne performed their couple's choice to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon.
Craig said the routine 'belongs in a musical' and said 'I do not know how you are doing this'.
Motsi said 'everyone is speaking about Chris' when asked about the show.
Shirley said their partnership is 'unique' and nearly got emotional saying Chris 'does not miss a beat'.
Anton said: 'In all the years I have been doing Strictly Come Dancing, it is the most extraordinary thing I have seen in my entire life, you are inspirational'.
'If I could give you fifteen I would', said Anton
Chris McCausland revealed he turned down Strictly multiple times before this year because 'he was scared'.
He says he has the opportunity to represent disabled people.
He said: 'It is important to show people that more is possible than you think, people with disability are way more resilient and creative with problem solving'.
He told the story of how he was born with perfect eyesight, but it deteoriated until he became blind in his early 20s

The scores are in and Montell and Johannes have recieved a score of 36
After being in the bottom two last week, Montell and Johannes aimed to come back stronger this week.
Shirley said Montell was the 'warrior of the evening'.
Craig said their dance was 'almost perfect'
