Photos immediately began to emerge last weekend of the “dreamy” outdoor woodland wedding of Tallulah Willis, the youngest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, and her new husband, musician Justin Acee, on Saturday, Aug. 8 in Sun Valley, Idaho.

The photos showed the 32-year-old bride, in a custom Balenciaga couture gown, celebrating her big day with some of her A-list family and friends. They included her famous mother, as well as actor Andrew Garfield and Tallulah’s sisters, Rumer and Scout. The Daily Mail also reported that the guest list included Moore’s “Charlie’s Angels” co-star Lucy Liu and designer Zac Posen.

Not immediately appearing in published photos was 71-year-old Bruce Willis. However, Vogue magazine on Friday shared an image of the “Die Hard” actor at the wedding, with the black-and-white image showing him with one arm around Tallulah while the groom is holding his other hand.

Willis’ attendance at the wedding was not immediately certain, because of his 2023 diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia and ongoing aphasia. Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) applies to incurable brain diseases that often affect a person’s personality, behavior, and ability to communicate.

Last year, the “Die Hard” actor’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, revealed he had moved into a single-story home, near their $9.8 million Los Angeles estate, where he receives round-the-clock care while “remaining closely involved with his family,” who also include his two young daughters with Emma.

“It was one of the hardest decisions that I’ve had to make so far,” Emma Willis said in an interview with Diane Sawyer, about relocating her husband to a home that’s more comfortable and safe for him and suited to his care. “But I knew, first and foremost, Bruce would want that for our daughters. He would want them to be in a home that was more tailored to their needs, not his needs.”

More recently, Emma Willis shared that it was difficult to celebrate her 50th birthday while her husband is dealing with a terminal illness. She told Hoda Kotb on her Making Space podcast last week that she enjoyed a “lovely” celebration with family and close friends, though she was hesitant to mark the occasion.

“I was unsure if I wanted to do anything but I had a friend of mine who kept sort of pushing me and saying, ‘You know what, you don’t want to miss out on your 5. You have to celebrate in some form or fashion,” Emma Willis said.

It’s possible that Tallulah Willis felt similar pangs while planning her wedding, though hosting the wedding in Sun Valley would have had particular significance for her and her family. She spent much of her early childhood there after her father and mother moved from Los Angeles partly for the sake of her and her sisters, according to the Daily Mail.

The artist, fashion designer and mental health advocate announced her engagement to Acee on Dec. 23, People reported. She shared an Instagram post that included a photo of the couple holding hands over a rose-petal pathway, with her engagement band front and center. She wrote in her caption, “Everyday.”

Tallulah Willis also shared images and videos from her recent dress fitting at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles. According to People, she worked with her mother’s longtime stylist Brad Goreski to help the Balenciaga team craft her wedding dress, which, according to Vogue magazine, took 712 hours to make.

Since their father’s diagnosis, Tallulah Willis and her sisters have occasionally shared updates on his condition and how the family is coping. Oldest sister, Rumer Willis, said in podcast interviews in recent months that she was “grateful” that her 3-year-old daughter has been able to spend time with her father.

“I love getting to go over and see him,” Rumer said on The Inside Edit podcast, People reported. “I’m so grateful that I have a child that got to meet him because I don’t know if my sisters will have that.”

In another interview, Rumer Willis also said she also was “grateful” for how both her parents raised her and her sisters. They divorced in 2000 but remained friends, worked at co-parenting and always nurtured their creativity and individuality.

“I think it’s so important to let kids be kids and let them discover the world,” Rumer Willis said. “That’s something I’m so grateful to my parents for.”
