The representatives of French company Electricite de France (EDF), one of the leaders on European energy market  and the international  inspection and certification  company  Bureau Veritas (BV) visited the Volgodonsk Branch  of JSC “Mechanical Engineering Division-technology” (a part of Rosatom machine-building division– Atomenergomash) 

During the visit the representatives learnt about the history of Atommash, visited Central plant laboratory, project management information center, main production shops, where production lines of key NPP equipment are built. Besides the delegation evaluated a plant specialized berth   for heavy cargoes at Tsimlaynsk artificial sea.

Foreign specialists commended production and logistic capabilities of the plant in the field of nuclear equipment manufacturing, machinery and competence in management system and quality control. 

The French representatives confirmed that the production site of the Volgodonsk Branch of JSC “Mechanical Engineering Division-technology” is equipped at a high level, quality management system is fulfilled and personnel are highly qualified.

“The increase in share on international markets is one of strategical goals of Rosatom state corporation and key tasks of the machine-building division, - Roman Murashov, International business director, stated. – The French delegation’s visit is of great importance both for the Atommash plant and for the industry on the whole”.

Electricite de France, one of the leaders on European energy market, is an integrated energetic company operating in all spheres of the industry: generation, transfer, distribution, trade and marketing of electrical power.  EDF gains the lead in electrical power generation in Europe.

Nuclear power plants and hydroelectric power plants providing for 95,9 % of electrical power  without  carbon dioxide emission  belong to this company in France.
