We’re constantly working to make your Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses even more useful, with software updates that bring you new features and improved capabilities. This month’s update makes it easier to stay connected with Threads and upgrades your display glasses’ AI capabilities with a new version of Meta AI.

Here’s what’s in the latest update rolling out to display users in the US starting today:  

• Meta AI — updated with Muse Spark. The AI that brings you closer to your people and the moments that matter to you just got even better. Powered by our Muse Spark models, the things you already do with Meta AI on your display glasses now work even better — smarter answers, clearer understanding of what you’re looking at, and more helpful suggestions throughout the day. Hands full? Ask, “Hey Meta, is this a good source of fiber?” and get answers without breaking away from the moment. Say, “Hey Meta, find me a coffee shop with good wifi" for local recommendations on the fly. Get on-the-spot help with whatever you need, whether you’re cooking, working around the house, or planning a weekend trip. And with real-time weather, stocks, and calendar on your in-lens display, Meta AI helps you show up prepared without reaching for your phone.

• Threads. Browse your feed, view media, engage with posts, share to messaging, and use voice commands to stay connected with Threads on your display glasses — all hands-free. With Threads, you can keep up with the rest of the world anytime, like while you’re waiting in line at the coffee shop or taking the train to work.

• Neural Handwriting with Meta AI (Early Access Program — US/CA only). Your Meta Neural Band just got more powerful. Want to ask Meta AI a quick question, but not in a spot where you can speak up? Users enrolled in the Early Access Program can use neural handwriting to access Meta AI without saying a word. Just activate Meta AI by double-tapping your thumb and clicking the “Write” button on AI Home to enter handwriting mode, then write with your finger on any surface. Instead of saying “Hey Meta,” you can ask questions and get information, play music, send a message, or navigate, all by using just the tip of your finger. 

• Instagram updates. We’ve updated Instagram’s capabilities on Meta Ray-Ban Display to make connecting and sharing even easier. Now you can share your photos to Instants directly from your glasses by saying “Hey Meta, share an instant” or “Hey Meta, post an instant.” On Instagram Reels, you can share to all your contacts, see comments, and search reels with your voice. Try saying, “Hey Meta, show me reels of the coolest features on Meta Ray-Ban Display.”
