After spending more than eight years helping clients transform their health and performance through personalized coaching in France, Pierrick Dubosq was not looking to open just another gym.
He relocated to Miami with a bigger vision: a destination built for serious training, where individualized coaching, elevated wellness, and thoughtful design come together under one roof. That vision became UNLOCK, a boutique private training gym opening in Wynwood early this fall.
Joining him is his wife and co-founder, Eléonore Merlo, who oversees UNLOCK’s brand, design, and creative direction. UNLOCK marks the pair’s first U.S. venture, bringing a coaching-first philosophy and elevated European design aesthetic to one of the country’s fastest-growing wellness markets.
Located at 252 NW 29 St., Miami, FL 33127, the 2,700-square-foot private training gym offers private personal training, intentionally small group training, strength and conditioning, mobility coaching, and recovery experiences, all designed around each member’s individual goals.
“Fitness trends will always come and go, but great coaching never goes out of style,” said Dubosq, founder and CEO of UNLOCK. “When people feel supported, challenged, and genuinely connected to their coach, that’s when lasting change happens. We created UNLOCK to be a place where every member receives that level of attention in an environment that’s inspiring, welcoming, and built for long-term success.”
UNLOCK brings together an exclusive network of experienced personal trainers, giving members the flexibility to work with the coach who best aligns with their goals while fostering a collaborative environment for fitness professionals.
Alongside one-on-one coaching, UNLOCK offers intentionally small group training sessions. Rather than limiting workouts to a single studio or just free weights, the small group sessions use UNLOCK’s full range of premium strength-and-conditioning equipment, giving members access to the same performance-focused training environment as private personal training clients.
Every element of UNLOCK was intentionally designed by Pierrick and Eleonore around one philosophy — train with intention. That philosophy is reflected throughout the space, blending raw, minimalist materials with warm design elements, including waxed concrete surfaces, wood and stone-look tile, alongside custom-branded strength equipment built specifically for the gym.
At the front desk, a reflected UNLOCK logo sets the tone from the moment members walk in, while a backlit mirror wall anchors the functional training area as a signature visual expression of the brand. Branded touches carry through the member experience as well, with custom gym towels, smoothie cups, and floor mats, plus branded tote bags for the gym’s first members.
Rather than outfitting the gym with standard equipment, the pair created a cohesive environment where every touchpoint reflects the UNLOCK philosophy, reinforcing a premium experience from arrival through recovery.
Beyond training, members have access to elevated recovery amenities, including luxury locker rooms with a private infrared sauna, a cold plunge, and an on-site juice bar, underscoring UNLOCK’s holistic approach to performance, recovery, and long-term wellness.
UNLOCK arrives as Wynwood continues to evolve into one of Miami’s fastest-growing creative, residential, and wellness destinations.
Surrounded by new development, acclaimed restaurants, and an expanding collection of fitness and wellness concepts, the neighborhood provides the ideal setting for a private training gym centered on personalized coaching, performance, and recovery.
“Miami’s energy, diversity, and commitment to health and performance made it the perfect place to introduce the coaching philosophy we’ve spent years developing,” Pierrick added. “We’re excited to become part of Wynwood’s growing community.”
Private personal training at UNLOCK starts at $135 for an introductory session, with small group training starting at $39 per session. For members seeking an ongoing membership, UNLOCK offers a number of options, including a limited-time Founder’s Membership for $620 per month, available to the first 30 members, which includes four personal training sessions monthly and a 10 percent discount on session packages and the juice bar.
