On August 4, "Ted Lasso" made its much-anticipated return to Apple TV for its fourth season. Previously, the series was widely regarded as one of Apple's first breakout hits and smashed previous viewership records.
And it looks like Ted's brought home yet another victory.

"Ted Lasso" has once again packed the stands, with its season four debut drawing nearly 300 million U.S. viewing minutes across its first two days.
On August 4, "Ted Lasso" made its much-anticipated return to Apple TV for its fourth season. Previously, the series was widely regarded as one of Apple's first breakout hits and smashed previous viewership records.
And it looks like Ted's brought home yet another victory.
The Season 4 premiere drew 296.6 million viewing minutes in the U.S. across its August 4 and 5 launch window, per Nielsen data seen by Deadline. On August 5, the debut was the most-streamed program in the U.S, with more than 200 million viewing minutes.
This makes the fourth season premiere the biggest launch for Apple TV to date.
In season 4, Ted returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women's football team. The task will challenge both Ted and his team, encouraging them to take chances they never thought they would.
Initially, the series was expected to stop after three seasons. However, in March 2025, Apple announced that the series would a fourth season.
Now, "Ted Lasso" star Jason Sudeikis wants to see a fifth and sixth season. And Apple's Eddy Cue has suggested that Apple TV has no plans to stop anytime soon.
